Hiking Routes
Castell de Castells, located in the Marina Alta region of Alicante, is an outstanding destination for hiking enthusiasts, offering a variety of routes that combine mountainous landscapes, unique geological formations and cultural heritage. The routes are well signposted and adapted to different levels of difficulty, allowing visitors to explore the natural and historical richness of the region.
Macrosquematic Art Museum – Petracos
Linear route of 13.95 km that connects the Museum of Macroschematic Art with the Sanctuary of Petracos. It is a route of medium difficulty, with historical and natural sections such as the Molí de Xancossa, the Font d’Espetla and areas of rock art. Ideal for those looking for culture, landscape and some physical effort.
Retura Spring
Circular trail that begins and ends in Castell de Castells. Along 10.85 km, the path crosses recreational areas, forests and fountains such as the Font de la Bota. With a low-medium difficulty, it is perfect for a complete walk in the middle of nature.
La LLacuna
Simple circular route that runs through quiet places such as the Clot de la Llacuna, the Caseta dels Caçadors and old corrals. With only 30 meters of net slope, it is a perfect option to enjoy the environment without great effort.
El Castellet
Circular route starting in Castell de Castells. Along 9.6 km you will visit El Castellet and other points such as the Font de la Bota or the Penya del Castellet. An ideal route to enjoy mountain, forest and heritage.
Morro Blau
A demanding trail that starts at Font de la Bota and climbs up to Morro Blau. With 23.7 km and more than 600 meters of net elevation gain, it is ideal for experienced hikers. It offers wide views and areas of high ecological value such as the Serra d’Aixortà.
El Castellet
Circular route starting from Plans d’Aialt. Along 8.2 km, this low-difficulty hike runs through gentle landscapes until it reaches Els Arcs, a curious natural rock formation in the shape of an arch.
